


Nico Protopappas
Personal Trainer
Nico grew up in Oakland, California where he discovered the benefits of personal training as a multi-sport varsity athlete in high school. In college at UC Santa Cruz, his passion for movement widened into the sport of CrossFit, the spiritual practice of yoga, competitive Karate and Muay Thai, and surfing​.

After finishing his degree in philosophy at UCSC, Nico moved to New York City to pursue his graduate studies at the New School for Social Research. He intended to write and teach, but soon developed a host of debilitating health issues, which caused Nico to think about health and the life of the mind in a more wholistic and embodied way. As a result, Nico started a personal training practice, and sought continuing education from some of the most interested practitioners and experts in their fields. He began working with everyday people who were also afflicted with health issues, muscular imbalances, unhealthy movement patterns, and poor lifestyle and nutrition choices. As he improved upon his condition, he improved others in the process which helped Nico to understand that there are MANY paths to a healthy and balanced life.

Today, Nico lives in San Francisco, CA, where he continues to pursue his interests in both the life of the mind and the moving body, cultivating a healthy balance between the two. Working with his clients, he hopes to inspire them to unify their interests, and foster their own balance of health, mind, and body.
